Emily's Diary

Day 165

March 21, 2010

Dear Diary, 2nd place!!! Not too bad for the whole region I think. Of course we all wanted first place, but hey, we still did awesome! Now I think I'm going to take a nice long shower, have some grub, and go to sleep. I'm exhausted!

Day 164

March 13, 2010

Dear Diary, Practice, practice, practice! That and school are pretty much m life right now. Our competition in Orlando is next weekend, so we don't have much time left. I'm tired from all the rehearsals, but really excited that we're going to regionals. I hope we do great!

Day 163

March 7, 2010

Dear Diary, We raked the whole yard today. There were about a million leaves out there from all the trees. I hate doing it every year, but Mom says we have to. When I was really little I used to jump in the piles of leaves my parents would rake together. Now, I want to kill my brothers when they jump into my piles. It just makes me have to do it over again!

Day 162

March 3, 2010

Dear Diary, I am so ready for spring break to get here. Only one more month to go. I don't even care if we do anything or go anywhere, I just want to veg and have a break from all this homework. Wait a minute! I just remembered that my mom said we're going to Disney for 4 days, so that is something fun to do-

Day 161

February 26, 2010

Dear Diary, We're at Dad's again this weekend because my mom is going to New York City for the weekend with my Aunt Jess. I wanted to go too, but they said no kids allowed. I've never been to New York before, and it just seems like it would be amazing. There's so much to see there! Oh well, I'm stuck here with my brothers-

Day 160

February 19, 2010

Dear Diary, Going to my dad's this weekend. I wish we were going out on his boat, but it's still too cold for that. There's some kind of food festival downtown that I think we're going to. Maybe I'll see some of my friends there. I hope so!

Day 159

February 15, 2010

Dear Diary, It's Presidents' Day, and that means no school today! It also means that Mom wants to go shopping since there's lots of big sales. As soon as my brothers are ready we're out of here. I hope I can find some new jeans.

Day 158

February 10, 2010

Dear Diary, My brothers are such hogs about the tv sometimes. It's not like I even have that much time to watch tv, but sometimes I actually do. And of course, that's when they refuse to let me watch one of the shows I like. It's like they gang up on me, since they're boys, and they like the same shows. It's very frustrating-

Day 157

February 7, 2010

Dear Diary, First place! We really did it! Well, now on to the regionals. All the practice and spending an hour having my mom do my makeup and hair was so worth it. I think regionals are in March.

Day 156

February 1, 2010

Dear Diary, We have another competition next weekend in Daytona. That means no time this week for anything but school and practice. I think we're ready and hopefully we'll do really good. Wish me luck!

Day 155

January 26, 2010

Dear Diary, Help me! I have this really enormous pimple on my chin, and we have pictures for dance team tonight! I've tried icecubes and washing my chin really good, nothing's working. Actually, I think it looks even worse now, if that's possible. Maybe my mom has some miracle cream I can use. Gotta go!

Day 154

January 19, 2010

Dear Diary, Yeah! We just got this thing in the mail today about 4 day passes to Disney, and my mom said we're going to go over spring break! That will be awesome! Too bad spring break isn't tomorrow...

Day 153

January 14, 2010

Dear Diary, There's this book I really wanted to read because all my friends are reading it. My mom wasn't sure at first because she thought I might not be old enough for it yet. Well, I read about 2 chapters of it and it really scared me, so I didn't want to read it anymore. I just told my friends it was boring instead of telling them that it really freaked me out.

Day 152

January 12, 2010

Dear Diary, This is supposed to be Florida, and it's been freezing! I can't remember the last time I got to wear shorts, or even a t-shirt. I am so not a winter girl! I love to wear flip-flops and tank tops. Dancing always helps me stay warm though, so that's good. Time for bed now-

Day 151

January 7, 2010

Dear Diary, Oh no! I lost my favorite charm for my cellphone. It's the one with pink ballet slippers. I don't know where it is, but it must have fallen off somehow. Hopefully I'll find it somewhere in my house. Otherwise, it's gone for good.

Day 150

January 3, 2010

Dear Diary, Back to school tomorrow. Might as well since it's so cold outside you can't really do anything anyway. We've only been home for 2 weeks, and it already feels like longer than that. School's not so bad, as long as there's not too much homework. Time for my shower, and then bed.

Day 149

December 31, 2009

Dear Diary, Happy New Year! Technically I guess it's a day early, but I doubt I'll be staying up until midnight. I like my sleep too much! Besides, we're going to Sarasota tomorrow. We have to get up pretty early, and I don't want to be tired. I think I hear fireworks outside...already???

Day 148

December 23, 2009

Dear Diary, Aw man! We were supposed to have our next dance competition in January in Orlando. They just moved it back to March. I guess the good thing is that it gives us more time to get ready, but I was getting so excited for it to get here! Well, off to the studio I go-

Day 147

December 17, 2009

Dear Diary, I really, really, really need to study for my science test I have tomorrow. I think it's not very nice for our teacher to give a test on the last day of school before vacation, but some teachers are just like that I guess. I should call Nicole and see if she wants to come study with me...

Day 146

December 14, 2009

Dear Diary, My legs feel tired, but it's a good feeling. I did a lot of stretching today after dance. My teacher says you have to keep stretching to improve your flexibility. That makes sense. I think I'll have some yogurt before I go to bed now-

Day 145

December 6, 2009

Dear Diary, Only 2 more weeks of school left before winter vacation! And I have so much to do. We have lots of tests and projects to finish the end of the semester. Nicole should be here any minute. We're going to work on our homework together. It's always more fun that doing my homework by myself-

Day 144

December 2, 2009

Dear Diary, Its been raining all afternoon. I wish it would have rained during school, but no, it didn't. Instead the rain waited until I wanted to take CoCo for a walk, and it hasn't stopped since. Boring!

Day 143

November 27, 2009

Dear Diary, I just realized I never told you about my dance competition! It already seems like forever ago, and we have another one in 2 weeks. Anyways, there were soooo many teams. We didn't win first place, but I still think we did the best, and our costumes rocked! Hopefully we'll do even better in 2 weeks. Time for turkey day leftovers!

Day 142

November 25, 2009

Dear Diary, Mom is already freaking out about making Thanksgiving dinner for tomorrow. I don't see what the big deal is, put a turkey in the oven, potatos, and pie. Isn't that it? I told her I'll help with the pie if she wants. I love pecan pie!

Day 141

November 18, 2009

Dear Diary, This weekend is our dance competition in Daytona Beach. I'm really excited because my brothers are staying home with my dad, so it's just going to be my mom and me. I hope we have time to do some shopping and go to the beach too. Then again, we probably won't since the competitions are all day Saturday and Sunday.  Wish me luck!

Day 140

November 13, 2009

Dear Diary, What is Friday the 13th and why does everybody make such a big deal about it? It's like the day is cursed or something. It's really just another day. I like Fridays. See you later, I have to go take my shower, Dad is going to be here soon-

Day 139

November 4, 2009

Dear Diary, My mom and I were eating Halloween candy last night while she was helping me with my homework. Well, my mom said she was getting a stomach ache and started feeling really sick. She counted the candy wrappers, and she had eaten 9 packs of Smarties! No wonder she felt sick. Yuck!

Day 138

November 1, 2009

Dear Diary, We went to Honeymoon Island Beach this morning. It was really beautiful outside. My mom is always good about packing a cooler full of drinks and snacks. I swear, the seagulls were attacking us trying to get our crackers! My poor little brother got so scared he started running down the beach, and the seagulls were following him, trying to grab his peanut butter crackers. I thought he was going to cry, so Evan and I started chasing the birds away by swinging our beachtowels in the air. Crazy birds!

Day 137

October 24, 2009

Dear Diary, Mom went away for the weekend with Aunt Jess, and we're staying at my dad's place. CoCo is here too. I miss her when we're gone all weekend. Dad says he's thinking about getting another dog or a cat. I'm not sure about cats, we've never had one before.

Day 136

October 20, 2009

Dear Diary, I don't know what's going on with my dog today, but CoCo's been acting crazy ever since I got home from school. She keeps chasing me around and barking at my feet. I guess I haven't taken her for a walk in a couple of days, maybe Mom will go with me after dinner if I take her. Time for homework-

Day 135

October 12, 2009

Dear Diary, Somehow my little brother Ethan got the idea to dress up like "Emily" for Halloween. I came home from school, and there he was wearing my skirt and one of my tank tops. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to be upset he was in my room, or laugh! I hope he really doesn't dress like me for Halloween. Nobody else would get it outside of our family. Brothers!

Day 134

October 5, 2009

Dear Diary, So, the movie was kind of cute. Yes, it's a little weird to think about hamburgers and pizzas falling from the sky, but so what? Picnic at the park was fun too. We walked on the trail and fed the fish, then we grilled cheese dogs. I'm going to do a little bit of stretching, and then I'm off to bed-

Day 133

October 3, 2009

Dear Diary, We're going to the movies this afternoon, and then bbq'ing at the park for dinner. Sounds like a fun day! We're going to see Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs. I'm not crazy about it, but my little brother really wants to see it. I hope it's good. Guess I better go get ready, we leave soon-

Day 132

September 30, 2009

Dear Diary, We got our progress reports from school today. I wasn't too worried since I usually do pretty good. Now I just have to remember to have my mom sign it so I can bring it back. My teacher gives extra credit if you do. Isn't that cool?

Day 131

September 27, 2009

Dear Diary, I'm so sad. Aunt Jess came over last night and said she sold her house. That means she'll be moving to Texas soon. I kept hoping she wouldn't be able to sell it. I know it sounds mean, but I don't want her to go.

Day 130

September 18, 2009

Dear Diary, I'm pooped! I've been studying and dancing all week. My air cast doesn't bother me at all when I dance. I'm just so excited to be doing it again! I really need to get working so I can catch up on what I missed. I feel like I'm so far behind, and with competitions coming up soon, I need to get busy. Speaking of which, I'm off to stretch-

Day 129

September 13, 2009

Dear Diary, Yesterday my mom took us to run a bunch of errands. Not very much fun if you ask me. At least I got a bag of Swedish Fish at the office supply store. I love them, especially the red ones. I had to share with my little brothers, but some is better than none I guess.

Day 128

September 6, 2009

Dear Diary, I don't have to wear the hard cast anymore! Now I just have a small air cast, and the best part is that I can move my arm much better, and can dance again! My mom is a little nervous about letting me dance again, she's afraid I'll hurt it again somehow. I told her I'll be ready to start class Tuesday. Can't wait!

Day 127

September 2, 2009

Dear Diary, I am so waiting for my appointment with the doctor Friday. They're going to check my arm and tell me if the cast can come off. I know I'm getting more used to it, but I'm really missing dance. And we have all these competitions coming up in the next few months, so I really need to get back to the studio. Hurry up Friday!

Day 126

August 26, 2009

Dear Diary, Well, I like most of my teachers. There's only one that I'm a little worried about. He's really strict, and if you get caught passing your friend a note in his class, then he hangs it up on the bulletin board so everyone can read it! I hope that never happens to me-

Day 125

August 24, 2009

Dear Diary, I'm actually getting pretty excited about school starting tomorrow. I get to see all my friends again, and I'm bored sitting around here anyway. You can't do much with a broken arm at home. I'm anxious to see who my teachers are, hopefully good ones. I'll let you know-

Day 124

August 18, 2009

Dear Diary, I think I'm finally getting out of my funk about my broken arm. I'm getting used to buttoning things with my left hand, and I can even write a little bit! And I may not be able to dance again yet, but I can still do a lot of my stretching so I stay flexible. Hopefully the last few weeks with my cast on will go by fast. They should, we start school next week.

Day 123

August 10, 2009

Dear Diary, I missed out on boating this weekend. I was so disappointed. But with this cast on my arm, I can't go in the water or get it full of sand. So when my dad took my brothers out on the boat he dropped me off at home. My mom tried to cheer me up with "Girl Time", but I still missed the beach.

Day 122

August 7, 2009

Dear Diary, I'm bored. I can't do much with this cast on. It's not even a waterproof one, so I can't swim or anything, and no dancing. I so wanted to do some practice at the studio before school starts so I'll be ready for our fall competitions. But now, I don't even know how long I'll have this stupid thing on my arm. The doctor said maybe 6-8 weeks.

Day 121

August 1, 2009

Dear Diary, You'll never guess what happened. I broke my arm riding my friend's Ripstik! I think I skated over a pebble or something and I fell over and tried to catch myself from falling. Now I have this cast on my arm that goes all the way up to my shoulder. And the worst part is that it's my right arm and I'm right handed, so I did this diary with my left hand, and it took forever.

Day 120

July 27, 2009

Dear Diary, The aquarium was sweet! We touched the starfish and sea urchins in the tanks. They had a lot of new animals too. The only bummer was when we were outside at the waterpark, I accidentally rubbed sun lotion in my eyes, and they were watering and burning the rest of the day. Ouch!

Day 119

July 23, 2009

Dear Diary, We're going to the Florida Aquarium this weekend. It's cool because you get to see all the penguins and awesome fish, and then they have an outdoor waterpark. My brothers and I always like to have water wars with the squirt cannons. Can't wait!

Day 118

July 18, 2009

Dear Diary, We had such an awesome workout yesterday at dance camp. We have 4 different classes per day, and it's really cool. It's kind of a busy schedule, but I like it that way. You get more practice and learn more. Only one more week, and then that's it for summer camp for me.

Day 117

July 11, 2009

Dear Diary, We finally got our dance photos back. There were some really good ones of my whole dance team, but I didn't like the ones of me by myself. Mom says they're all great, but I'm picky like that. I think it's because I didn't like that one costume I was wearing. Oh well, it was only for one competition, and pretty soon we'll be getting ready for fall competitions.

Day 116

July 6, 2009

Dear Diary, My brothers and I were playing Marco Polo in the pool. Evan plays fair, but Ethan cheats! I can see him opening his eyes when he's trying to find us. I guess he kind of has to since he's only 5. Evan and I are better swimmers. I think I'm going to grab a quick snack and then do some warmups and stretching.

Day 115

July 1, 2009

Dear Diary, The good news is that Nicole spent the night last night and is tonight too. We've been having fun at dance camp too. The bad news is that its been raining all day every day this week. So, after we get home from camp, we can't chill out in the pool or play outside. Mom said tonight she would take us all to see a movie. No idea what we're seeing yet, hopefully something good!

Day 114

June 27, 2009

Dear Diary, Mom said not this week, but maybe next week, Nicole can sleepover for two nights. That rocks! Nicole and I already have dance camp together next week, so I guess that makes it easy. I'm really excited for camp to start. It's been kind of boring since we came back from Disney. I want to do something!

Day 113

June 25, 2009

Dear Diary, Evan is having a friend sleep over for 3 nights! I don't think I've ever been able to do that. Well, not that I've really asked my mom about it either. Maybe I should. After that Evan is going to spend the night at their house for two more nights. I'm going to go ask my mom about Nicole sleeping over right now.

Day 112

June 17, 2009

Dear Diary, I never get tired of Disney, even though we've been there a million times. The parks were crowded but we had the Fast Pass, so we didn't have to wait too long. My favorite ride was Space Mountain, even my little brother Evan liked it. He was a little scared at first, but since I was right there he was okay. We were only there for two days, and it went so fast, I want to go back-

Day 111

June 11, 2009

Dear Diary, We're going to Disney tomorrow! My mom wanted to surprise us, so she didn't say anything until today when I asked her if I could spend the night at Nicole's house. We're staying at some hotel where the animals are right outside your window! You can like see the giraffes while you eat your breakfast and everything. And of course we're going to the theme parks. Can't wait!

Day 110

June 6, 2009

Dear Diary, I'm already planning to put more time in at the dance studio this summer. I'm going to a couple different dance clinics, but I still like to do my own practice and take more classes at my own school. This weekend my brothers and I are going to stay with our dad. Actually, it's more than just the weekend, we'll be there for a week. I hope he takes us out on the boat. I want to go tubing!

Day 109

June 2, 2009

Dear Diary, Hooray summer! Today was our last day of school. It wasn't even a whole day of school, just until lunch. I'm not sure why they do it that way, but oh well, it's done. Tonight my mom said we could go out to celebrate. Evan and I both had good report cards, and Ethan just finished preschool. I can't believe he'll be in kindergarten next year!

Day 108

May 26, 2009

Dear Diary, So at least the weekend wasn't a total bust. We did get to have our party, although we couldn't grill and couldn't swim because it was still raining. But, we went to the store and bought platters and trays of sandwiches instead. I was having fun just hanging out with Nicole. And for once, my brothers didn't pester us while we were playing-

Day 107

May 21, 2009

Dear Diary, I think our house is going to float away if it keeps raining like this. It's been raining every day for over a week now. Poor Coco jumps everytime the lightning strikes. We were supposed to have a bbq-pool party Sunday, but I'm not sure what's going on now since it's supposed to rain all weekend. That figures!

Day 106

May 14, 2009

Dear Diary, I cannot believe how hot it is outside already. At least the pool is warm enough to swim in now. We go swimming pretty much every day after school, except on days when I'm busy with dance. My favorite game to play in the pool is Marco Polo. Sometimes my brothers cheat and climb out of the pool even though the rules say you have to stay in the pool. Stinkers!

Day 105

May 10, 2009

Dear Diary, Happy Mother's Day Mom! We made my mom breakfast this morning. All she wanted was oatmeal and sausage, but hey, at least we made it for her. We're going to go to the beach later too. I love practicing my tumbling and handsprings in the sand. It's so much softer when you land!

Day 104

May 5, 2009

Dear Diary, It's Cinco de Mayo today. I have no idea what that holiday means, but a lot of people around here like to celebrate it with Mexican food and parties. We're actually going to a friend of my mom's for some party he's having. I hope all the food isn't spicy. Maybe I better eat a snack before we go, just in case!

Day 103

May 2, 2009

Dear Diary, My mom took us to the beach last night after dinner. It was awesome, I guess it was low tide, and there were tons of live shells on the sand trying to crawl back to the water. My brothers and I kept running up and down the beach throwing them back into the water. We must have saved 30 or 40 of them! I've never seen anything like that before at the beach-

Day 102

April 27, 2009

Dear Diary, Aunt Jess came over for dinner tonight. She's still trying to sell her house, but so far nobody wants it. That's good for me! I don't want her to move away. Oh well, time for homework-

Day 101

April 19, 2009

Dear Diary, We went out for dinner last night to this restaurant on the lake. It was pretty fun, and we even got to see an alligator swimming right by us in the lake! He was enormous! We weren't in danger or anything. He was pretty far out in the water, but that's the first time I think I've ever seen a wild alligator, and not just one at the zoo.

Day 100

April 15, 2009

Dear Diary, I was so sad when I came home from school today. The lawn guys trimmed the trees for my mom, and they cut my favorite limb that I like to sit on. Guess I'll have to find a new favorite place to climb up to. Maybe I'll find something even higher up. Mom gets nervous when we climb too high, like she thinks we're going to fall or something-

Day 99

April 11, 2009

Dear Diary, Our dance teacher gave us this new funky dance routine for jazz that she wants us to learn. It's hip-hop music, so it has a really good beat. I'm going to get a copy of the music from her so I can start practicing. Competition season starts soon-

Day 98

April 8, 2009

Dear Diary, My brother Ethan has started this new annoying habit. Now that he knows how to spell some words he wants to spell everything instead of just saying the word. Like, when our mom asks if he brushed his teeth, he says "I already d-i-d". What a goof.

Day 97

April 2, 2009

Dear Diary, I am so excited! Mom finally found a huge wall mirror to hang in my room. It takes up one entire wall, which I love! It'll be perfect for practicing my dancing. Now if we can just get a ballet bar to put on it. I think I'm going to go warmup right now-

Day 96

March 26, 2009

Dear Diary, We had so much fun last Sunday! There were some cool Native American crafts, and yummy bbq food. They had some really awesome rides, but my favorite was the bungee jumping. They put you in this harness and then you bounce up and down off a trampoline. Nicole and I kept trying to see who could go higher!

Day 95

March 21, 2009

Dear Diary, I'm going to sleepover Nicole's house tonight. Her parents are taking us to the Chasco Festival tomorrow. They have carnival rides, and all kinds of fun things to do. But, before I can go I have to brush Coco, clean my room, and vacuum the downstairs. Guess I better get busy-

Day 94

March 15, 2009

Dear Diary, I dared Evan to jump in the swimming pool even though it's freezing. I told him I bet him $1 he wouldn't do it, but he did! It was worth losing the dollar just to see him jump in and out of the pool so fast. Well, I'm off to the studio to get a practice session in before class starts. Later-

Day 93

March 9, 2009

Dear Diary, Dad took us to the Seafood Festival Saturday in downtown Safety Harbor. It was fun even if I don't love seafood. I do like shrimp, but that's about it for seafood. My brothers ate about 30 shrimp each! They had a lot of other stuff going on there too, like music and everything.

Day 92

March 6, 2009

Dear Diary, The weather has been really wacky around here lately. One day it's freezing cold and you need a winter jacket, and then the next day you can wear shorts. I just wish it would get warm enough to go swimming, but our pool is still freezing cold. Mom says it'll be at least April before we can swim. Well, off to pack and get ready to go to my dad's for the weekend-

Day 91

March 1, 2009

Dear Diary, I made a new music mix for when I'm doing my stretching. Music is very important when I'm stretching. It keeps me focused and motivated. And it helps to block out the noise my two brothers are making outside my bedroom door!

Day 90

February 28, 2009

Dear Diary, There's this girl in my class who doesn't get a birthday this year. Well, she has a birthday, but she was born on Leap Day. It only happens every 4 years where February has 29 days instead of only 28. And Julia was born on the 29th. She said she usually just celebrates it on March 1st. That would be really weird I think-

Day 89

February 21, 2009

Dear Diary, We took Coco to the groomer's this afternoon. She was not smelling so sweet, and her fur was starting to get matted. But when we picked her up Coco looked like a princess again! She had pink bows in her hair and everything. How totally adorable she is!

Day 88

February 18, 2009

Dear Diary, You know what is really frustrating? Is when you have a friend, and you feel like you're always the one who calls them on the phone. My friend Morgann is kind of like that. If I leave a message for her, it takes her like forever to call me back. I love her to death, but sometimes that drives me nuts! Would it be so hard for her to be the one to call me sometimes?

Day 87

February 10, 2009

Dear Diary, The weather has been so awesome the last couple of days that we've been outside a lot....eating dinner on our lanai, playing with CoCo in the yard. I love it! Ethan loves for someone, anyone to play catch with him, and usually it's me. I don't mind though, it's kind of fun.

Day 86

February 5, 2009

Dear Diary, I cannot believe my Aunt Jess wants to sell her house and move. She wants to go to Texas, where she went to college. Is it bad to say I hope she can't sell her house so she'll have to stay? I want her to be happy, but I will miss her so much if she moves away. Even Mom thinks it's a crazy idea.

Day 85

February 1, 2009

Dear Diary, Ethan is driving me nuts! He keeps begging me to read this Skippy Jon Jones book to him. I've already read it to him at least 5 times today. It's a cute story, but after so many times, I'm starting to get tired of it. I think I'm going to go take CoCo for a walk before Ethan finds me again.

Day 84

January 30, 2009

Dear Diary, There must have been a mosquito in my room last night. I didn't hear him buzzing around or anything, but when I woke up there were a few bites on my legs. I swear I had heard somewhere that mosquitos can only bite once in their lifetime, but I wonder if it's really true. Excuse my while I keep scratching! I can't help it, better go get the cream-

Day 83

January 20, 2009

Dear Diary, We watched the President's inauguration today in school. It was neat seeing what a big deal the whole ceremony is. President Obama's speech was pretty good, but after the first 10 minutes or so I kind of have a hard time following along. Now we have to write a one page reaction paper telling what we thought about the inauguration. Couldn't our teacher have told us that BEFORE we started watching so we could take notes and pay better attention?

Day 82

January 13, 2009

Dear Diary, Mom's in another one of her cleaning out moods. It happens a couple of times a year that she makes us go through every single cabinet, drawer, closet, whatever. The whole point is to get rid of stuff. Well, I came home from school and she had a whole bunch of my dolls sitting in a box on my bed. She wanted to get rid of them! She said I hardly play with them now, but I told her that even though I don't play with them all the time, I still like to collect them. I think I convinced her.

Day 81

January 10, 2009

Dear Diary, We're at Dad's house this weekend. He has the best trees to climb in his yard. They're huge, and have these big limbs you can lay on if you want to. Sometimes my brothers and I just hang out up there. I wish my dad would build a treehouse in one of them. He's not really into home improvement projects though-

Day 80

January 4, 2009

Dear Diary, Does school really start again tomorrow? It seems like we just started vacation, and I was just getting used to sleeping in! At least I'll get to see Nicole. We only got to see each other a couple times over break because we were both so busy. I really missed not seeing her everyday-

Day 79

January 2, 2009

Dear Diary, Camping was actually a lot of fun. We're in the van right now, on our way back home. The funniest part was us trying to cook our food over an open fire. The hotdogs were pretty easy, but breakfast was a little bit harder with eggs and pancakes. We hiked all through the park and thankfully didn't come across any bears. Someone else at our campsite said they had seen one the day before. Yikes!

Day 78

December 28, 2008

Dear Diary, We're getting ready to go on our family camping trip. I really thought Mom would chicken out, but she's really gung-ho about this. It should be fun. We're going up to Ocala National Park, which is only a couple of hours away. And we won't be roughing it too much, we're staying in cabins since it might be a little cold at night for tents.

Day 77

December 23, 2008

Dear Diary, My brother Evan thought it would be funny to try swimming today. I guess he figured since it's warm outside then the pool must be warm enough. Mom tried to warn him, but he had to see for himself. I don't think he made it in past his knees! It was pretty funny though. I wish we could go swimming too, but that's a long way away, probably May or June. Boooooo-

Day 76

December 17, 2008

Dear Diary, Mom wants to go out and look at Christmas lights tonight when it gets dark. It's fun for the first half hour, but after that, how many more lights can you look at? We always pop popcorn and bring it in the car. Ethan is really excited to count the Santas he sees. I guess it won't be so bad.

Day 75

December 13, 2008

Dear Diary, Every year a city right near us has a holiday festival where they actually have snow! No, it doesn't snow in Florida, but they bring it in a huge truck from somewhere up north. This is the first year we actually went and tried sledding down the snow. It was so much fun that now I've been begging Mom for when we can go up north and see lots and lots of snow. I haven't really gotten a good answer yet.

Day 74

December 6, 2008

Dear Diary, It seems like we just started school again from Thanksgiving break, and now it's almost time for winter break. Ahhh, I can't wait to sleep in and have no homework. Well, that's a couple weeks away. Nicole is on her way over so Mom can take us to the mall. Better go take my shower real quick-

Day 73

December 1, 2008

Dear Diary, What a crazy couple of weeks it has been! I did end up getting sick, but I made it through my dance competition in Orlando. There were a lot of really, really good teams there too. We made it from prelims to semifinals. Not too bad! We were 20th, and only 17 teams make it to the finals. It was a fun roadtrip with my mom. My brothers stayed with our dad. They think dance is boring!

Day 72

November 17, 2008

Dear Diary, You know, I hardly ever get sick, but with my competition in 5 days, I'm a little worried. My brother Evan is really sick and I'm afraid I'm going to get it too, and end up being sick for my dance competition. Mom keeps telling him to blow his nose and wash his hands. Boys can be so gross about not using tissues and rubbing their nose on their arms. I remember one of my teachers a long time ago showing us how germs spread around. She had us all put flour on our hands and then go around and touch everything like the desks, the doorknobs, and chairs.

Day 71

November 13, 2008

Dear Diary, Mom just announced to us that we're going camping for a few days over winter break. I have no idea what she's thinking. Mom doesn't know the first thing about camping. Not that I know anything about camping, since I've never been before, but this wasn't my idea. I love my mom, but she's not really someone I would say can rough it. You know, not having her blow dryer, no fancy restaurants, no bathtubs. I'll give it a chance though, it just might be entertaining!

Day 70

November 10, 2008

Dear Diary, I hate when embarassing things happen! I was walking down the hallway in school today and didn't even notice the long piece of toilet paper stuck to the bottom of my shoe. Nicole was actually the one who saw it and told me, and even she was giggling. Now everyone knew I had just been in the bathroom. I could feel my face turn red and everything. Uggh!

Day 69

November 8, 2008

Dear Diary, I'm exhausted. I went to the dance studio almost everyday this week. I love it, but we've been practicing for our competition that's in 2 weeks. So today I'm not doing anything. I'm not dancing, I'm not doing homework...I'm just chilling out at home. Mom said that sounded like a good idea, and we're going to have a family movie marathon in a little while. Sounds good to me!

Day 68

November 4, 2008

Dear Diary, I cannot get used to this time change yet. It's dark so much earlier now, and I'm still waking up way before my alarm goes off in the morning. Hopefully I'll get used to it soon. I'm still not sure why we even have daylight savings anymore. Isn't that from back when everyone had farms?

Day 67

November 1, 2008

Dear Diary, Halloween went by so fast, but we had a blast! All the little kids looked so adorable in their costumes, especially the little baby girl next door dressed like a cheerleader. Tonight we're staying over at my dad's place because Mom and Aunt Jessie are going to some boy band concert. It's no band I remember, but I guess it was popular when they were teenagers.   Better go pack-

Day 66

October 30, 2008

Dear Diary, This week has gone by so fast, and tomorrow is my big slumber party for Halloween. I think it will be fun handing out candy to all the little kids that come by our house. We're going to play music and hang out on the driveway. Then Mom got a spooky movie for us to watch. I wish tomorrow would hurry up and get here!

Day 65

October 26, 2008

Dear Diary, I'm not really a big fan of baseball, but its been kind of fun watching the Tampa Bay Rays in the World Series. I didn't get to see the whole game, but the Rays lost last night. It's not looking good for them right now. If they don't win the next game, then it's all over. Time to go get some homework done.

Day 64

October 22, 2008

Dear Diary, I've been having a hard time learning this new jazz routine for dance. Usually it comes pretty easily to me. Don't get me wrong, I still have to practice, but then I can usually do it. All these fan kicks, twists, and barrel turns have my head spinnning! I guess I'll just have to keep practicing.

Day 63

October 21, 2008

Dear Diary, Florida weather is so weird. One day it's hot as can be, and then for a couple days it'll be almost cold outside. Then of course it gets hot again. I wish the weather would just make up its mind! I'm actually looking forward to it get colder. I have a new super cute jacket I want to wear.

Day 62

October 17, 2008

Dear Diary, I'm kind of sad that I'm not going to go trick or treating this year. Mom says I'm getting too old for that. But, she is going to let me have a slumber party since Halloween is on a Friday. That is actually better than trick or treating! So far Nicole, Danielle, and Marley are coming. Hopefully more of my friends can come too.

Day 61

October 15, 2008

Dear Diary, Dance, dance, dance! That's what I've been doing lately. Our next competition is in November, so I'm trying to get intio the studio as much as I can. Thankfully, my ankle isn't bothering me. I was a little worried at first, but so far so good. Not much else going on right now. Mom is starting to plan our trip to see the fall leaves in a couple weeks. Yeah!

Day 60

October 11, 2008

Dear Diary, We hung a big tire swing from a big tree in our yard. I think it was really meant for Ethan and Evan, but I've been riding on it too. It's kind of fun.  I like pushing my brothers on it as high as they can go. They get a big kick out of that. It takes both of them to push me though!

Day 59

October 8, 2008

Dear Diary, My brothers are being difficult right now. I really want to watch a show on tv, but they won't let me. I know we have to take turns and all, but really. Mom said if she has to work it out then the t.v. goes off and nobody gets to watch anything. That's no good either. They're watching some "Clone Wars" cartoon. I guess I'll just have to wait. Waiting stinks.

Day 58

October 6, 2008

Dear Diary, We finally got to go out on Dad's boat this weekend. The weather was beautiful, and it wasn't even that hot. He has this big float that ties to the back of the boat with a rope that we ride on. My brothers and I love it! And when somebody wipes out it's pretty hilarious.

Day 57

October 2, 2008

Dear Diary, Aunt Jess came over tonight and we decided to go swimming. Ohmigosh was it freezing! After a while our lips were turning blue! We still had fun, but we didn't stay in for very long. I think that was probably my last time in the pool until next summer. I love to swim, but not like that. Now, my brothers will probably keep swimming until Mom tells them it's too cold. Boys don't care.

Day 56

September 29, 2008

Dear Diary, Since we don't have any dance competitions for a couple months, it's kind of relaxing going to the studio. We still work hard, but there's not as much pressure I guess. At least for me there's not. Danielle's mom is still snipping at her about how she practices in class, and that she's not putting in enough effort. I feel really bad for her. If my mom treated me like that, I don't think I'd want to dance anymore.

Day 55

September 27, 2008

Dear Diary, Mom and I are finally starting to walk CoCo at night more, now that the weather is a tiny bit cooler after dinner. It's kind of nice. Usually my brothers ride their bikes ahead of us. If they ride too close to us, then CoCo goes crazy barking at them because she can't catch them. My dog is too funny!

Day 54

September 23, 2008

Dear Diary, Mom has been nagging me since I got home about my room being such a mess. It's not that I like it messy, I just haven't had the time between school and dancing. It's not so bad, all you have to do is close the door and you can't even see the mess. Maybe I better do it before dinner, then she'll stop bothering me about it.

Day 53

September 21, 2008

Dear Diary, Tomorrow is officially the first day of fall. I'm hoping that means the weather will finally start cooling off at least a little bit. The only bad part is that the leaves don't change colors to all the pretty reds and yellows like they do up north. Here in Florida the leaves just turn brown and fall off. Our family up north usually emails us pictures of the pretty leaves changing colors. Mom says maybe we drive up over a long weekend in October to see them for ourselves.

Day 52

September 16, 2008

Dear Diary, CoCo has been following me around all afternoon just begging to go outside. Mom and I like to take her on walks together. The only problem is that it's still so incredibly hot outside. I feel like I'm going to melt before we get down the driveway. Maybe if I wait until after dinner it won't be so bad with the sun down a little. I think I better go play with CoCo now though, she's chewing at the socks on my feet!

Day 51

September 15, 2008

Dear Diary, No boating again this weekend. The surf was pretty rough from that hurricane going by on its way to Texas. So instead we play Scrabble and went swimming. I haven't played Scrabble in a long time. I forgot how much fun it was! Time to head over to the dance studio-

Day 50

September 12, 2008

Dear Diary, This weekend we're over at my dad's place. He said we can try going out on the boat again. I don't want to get my hopes up, but I can't help it. I know in a few more months it will be too cold to do much boating. I think I'll bring my rollerblades just in case though.

Day 49

September 8, 2008

Dear Diary, I'm sitting here trying to think of what to write about and I can't even hear myself think. There is this loud buzzing noise outside. It's cicadas. They're these really big insects that are everywhere in Florida, but you especially notice them in the summer. That's when I hear them buzzing the most. Even with the windows closed you can't help but hear them. In science class we learned that they have these noisemakers on the sides of their abdomen that they vibrate to make the loud clicking sound.

Day 48

September 6, 2008

Dear Diary, Aunt Jess is coming over tonight for dinner. Aunt Jess says she hates to cook and so she always loves eating with us. She says it's the only time she gets a homemade meal. I like eating out, but not all the time. Not very healthy for a dancer. I wonder what we're having tonight. Something smells good, whatever it is. My mouth is starting to water.

Day 47

September 4, 2008

Dear Diary, The girl who lives next door is moving away and so her mom is trying to get rid of a lot of stuff. She just brought over a huge box of dolls and outfits for them. I've been collecting dolls since I could walk from what Mom says. I just love changing their outfits and making them look cute. I already started going through the box and there are even matching shoes for the dolls.

Day 46

August 31, 2008

Dear Diary, Boating this weekend is a total bust. The weather today is even windier than it was yesterday. It's great for running around outside or flying a kite, but bad for boating. The advisories say the water is too rough. So, I think I'm going to go outside and rollerblade. It doesn't even feel that hot out there right now with the breeze blowing.

Day 45

August 30, 2008

Dear Diary, So much for going out on the boat today. It's been raining and cloudy all day. Even though the hurricane is not coming our way, it still seems to be affecting our weather. Dad says we'll see what tomorrow's weather looks like. So the boys are all in the den watching football. Boring! I'm thinking I'll do a little stretching and work on my flexibility.

Day 44

August 28, 2008

Dear Diary, Tomorrow after school, my two brothers and I will go over to my dad's house for the weekend. We're lucky he lives close enough that we can still see him a lot. I'm just dreading that I know I'll already have to bring homework with me. Hopefully the weather will be nice and we can go out on the boat.

Day 43

August 25, 2008

Dear Diary, One week of school down already. So now it's school, dance, school, dance. And since the summer dance competitions are over I'll be back to regular studio classes and dance team practices. Busy, busy, busy. Thank goodness my ankle healed well over the summer. I'm hoping I won't have any more problems with it.

Day 42

August 20, 2008

Dear Diary, The first day of school ended up being cancelled yesterday since tropical storm Fay was on it's way. Then of course it turned at the last second and hit way south of us instead. It's kind of strange that school was cancelled and the weather is actually not too bad now. It's pretty windy, but it hasn't even hardly rained here yet! I guess that's the way it goes with tropical storms and hurricanes. Prepare for the worst and hope for the best. My bus should be here any minute now that today we're actually starting school.

Day 41

August 18, 2008

Dear Diary, Okay now I'm not sure what to think. School is supposed to start tomorrow, but there is a tropical storm possibly heading towards Florida. If that happens they may have to cancel school. I've never heard of school get cancelled before it even starts! And who is Fay? That's a strange name for a storm. Mom says we'll just have to watch the news and see what happens. In the mean time we stocked up our hurricane kit just in case. I don't know what we'll do with all these gallons of water and cans of ravioli if we don't end up needing them.

Day 40

August 17, 2008

Dear Diary, Last night my mom let me stay up pretty late so I could watch the Olympics. I wanted to see if Michael Phelps could win his eighth gold medal and break the record. It was amazing to watch him actually do it. My brother Ethan and I watched it together and were cheering him on. I love watching the Olympics!

Day 39

August 10, 2008

Dear Diary, Most of our trip to Orlando was pretty cool. I could have done without the hours we spent at Lego Land, but my little brother really loved it. My favorite part was swimming at the hotel. They had these huge waterfall-like fountains spraying into the pool. And the pool was ginormous! You could barely see all the way around it since it had all these curves and bends. The other fun thing was of course the outlet mall shopping. I got some pretty cool new school clothes.

Day 38

August 7, 2008

Dear Diary, We leave early tomorrow for Orlando. I wish we could bring Coco with us too. But she's going to stay at the vet while we're gone. Hopefully she won't miss us too much. I haven't even started packing yet. We'll probably be in the pool most of the time anyway.

Day 37

August 4, 2008

Dear Diary, I love dancing, but right now I feel kind of relieved that the competition is over. I need a break and so does my ankle. In a few days my dad is taking us to Orlando. Usually we go to Disney World, but this time we're going to some new waterpark they have there. And of course I always love to go shopping at the outlets malls!

Day 36

July 31, 2008

Dear Diary, We did it! We came in first place in the regional dance-off! Thankfully it's over because I think my ankle was getting worse. Mom says I made need to go see a doctor. She has me alternating keeping ice and a heating pad on it. If it doesn't feel better in a couple days then I'll have to go. It hurts, but I'm so happy that all our hard work paid off. The other teams were really good this year, so we had to work that much harder.

Day 35

July 27, 2008

Dear Diary, Whew! Our dance team made the cut. That means one more week of competition to find the winner of the finals. My ankle has been bothering me a little. I'm hoping it will be okay after resting over the weekend. I guess we'll find out tomorrow. I'm so glad that my mom is coming to watch us dance this week. It makes me happy to see her so proud of how good we're doing.

Day 34

July 24, 2008

Dear Diary, I feel bad I haven't written in a while, but this week has been crazy. Competition is pretty much all day. Then by the time I get home and eat dinner I just want to crawl into my bed. I ache in muscles I didn't even know I had. It will all be worth it though. Tomorrow is the first day of elimination. I think our dance team will still be in next week since we've been doing so well.

Day33

July 19, 2008

Dear Diary, Well, this is it. Starting Monday we'll begin two weeks of dance competition. I'm starting to get a little nervous, but we've been practicing really hard so hopefully we'll place. The funny thing is that I wish we could dance in our warmups. I'm so much more comfortable in warmups instead of a costume. Oh well, that's not going to happen.

Day 32

July 15, 2008

Dear Diary, We're about to go to the barber shop so my brothers can get their hair cut. No way am I getting my hair cut at a barber shop. I go to my mom's stylist. But I don't mind going with my brothers to get theirs cut because they have a pool table right in the middle of the place that you can play while you wait.

Day 31

July 12, 2008

Dear Diary, I'm hoping it's not going to rain later today, even though it's very cloudy outside right now. We're supposed to go to a bbq party at my mom's friend's house. It's a big family party, and they have a pool. But if it's yucky outside that won't be very much fun. It always rains when it's not supposed to in Florida.

Day 30

July 8, 2008

Dear Diary, I know school is out, but I still have a lot to do with our dance competitions starting next week. So I practice a lot in my room, even when I'm not at the studio. And I'm always practicing my stretching. But my brothers are driving me insane. They keep coming into my room without even knocking. I heard Evan ask my mom "When does school start?" So I know he's bored. Just because they're bored, does that mean they have to pester me?

Day 29

July 7, 2008

Dear Diary, Nicole came over today to go swimming. Even though it's July, our pool is still cold, but we went anyway. My little brother has these pirate rings that sit on the bottom of the pool that you're supposed to swim through. Well, Nicole and I were actually having fun with them too. We were seeing how many times we could swim back and forth through them without coming up for air.  Sounds silly, but it was funny.

Day 28

July 4, 2008

Dear Diary, I hope it doesn't rain tonight. In Florida, you never know.   It rains almost every day in the summer. And I don't want to miss the fireworks. We always go to the same place on the beach and watch them. And then we get sundaes to eat. My little brother Evan is so excited to play with his sparklers.

Day 27

July 2, 2008

Dear Diary, There's this girl in dance named Danielle. I feel really bad for her sometimes. Her mom is always there when we practice, and she talks so mean to Danielle. No matter how hard Danielle seems to try, her mom still complains that Danielle's arms aren't straight enough. Or her facial expressions are all wrong. I'm just so thankful that my mom wants me to do well in dance, but she wants me to have fun too. She doesn't push me like Danielle's mom does.

Day 26

June 28, 2008

Dear Diary, Mom's home! She was only gone for a few days, but I'm so glad she's home. Her flight was delayed so she didn't get home until after dinner, but at least she's here. I didn't tell her yet, but my report card came in the mail today. It's pretty good I guess. Okay, maybe the 'C' in social studies isn't so good, but the rest is good. I'll show her tomorrow.

Day 25

June 26, 2008

Dear Diary, My mom had to go out of town for work this week. That means my Aunt Jess is here to take care of us. She's pretty cool. She likes to eat out a lot, so we get take-out every night. She's fun to talk to though. She really listens when I tell her about school, or dance , or whatever's on my mind. I still miss my mom though. I can't wait to see her this weekend.

Day 24

June 23, 2008

Dear Diary, Nicole and I decided to give our dogs a bath together today. Coco was getting kind of smelly. I hate smelly dogs. Anyways, it was kind of funny actually. Both the dogs were running around and rolling in the grass with soap all over them. They just didn't want to stand still to get rinsed off. So Nicole and I were chasing them around the yard with the garden hose. She and I laughed so hard my tummy started to hurt!

Day 23

June 20, 2008

Dear Diary, Yesterday we had a really bad thunderstorm. It was so windy that our windchime blew off the tree and went across the yard! And a lot of our neighbor's trees had big branches that fell down. I hate when it rains when I want to be outside. But I really do like the sound of thunderstorms. And when it's nice and dark like that I just want to cuddle up on the couch and watch a movie.

Day 22

June 18, 2008

Dear Diary, One good thing about the summer is I'm not as busy. I still have dance, but I go to the studio during the day instead of at night since there's no school. Then I have time to hang out with my friends. Nicole and I are going to go roller blading this afternoon. It's a lot of fun to go on the trail. Her mom rides her bike while we skate.

Day 21

June 14, 2008

Dear Diary, Help me please! My sunburn has faded, but now it looks even worse. I look like a lizard that is shedding it's skin. How embarassing! Thankfully I don't have any dance competitions for a few more weeks. My brothers just look at me and laugh. And now they're calling me Lizard Lady.

Day 20

June 11, 2008

Dear Diary, My dad took us out his boat this morning. We went over to Caladesi Island. It was pretty cool. I even ran into some kids from my school. The only bad part was getting sunburned. My mom was not happy about that. I swear I put lotion on. I guess just not enough. So I've been rubbing aloe all over my face, arms and legs. Hopefully it will help. I don't want my skin to peel.

Day 19

June 7, 2008

Dear Diary, This week has been so hectic. First was my brother Evan's graduation from preschool. He looked so cute in his cap with a tassle. Then it was Evan's birthday too. It was fun watching him and his friends play in the bounce house. I even bounced around a little myself.

Day 18

June 4, 2008

Dear Diary, Today was our last day of school! It was fun having the class parties, but I'll miss some of my teachers and seeing my friends. Mom says next school year will be here before I know it. Between dance classes and competitions, I know she's right. But for now, I want to have fun hanging out with my family and Morgann. As long as her cousin isn't around!

Day 17

June 2, 2008

Dear Diary, Last weekend I went to a pool party at Morgann's house. It was alright I guess. But the whole time I was there, Morgann's cousin kept trying to keep Morgann away from me. It was so annoying. She was always right there, trying to keep me from talking to Morgann. And then the cousin wouldn't let me be included in games like marco polo. I didn't say anything, but I think Morgann knew it was bothering me though.

Day 16

May 31, 2008

Dear Diary, Coco loves to go for walks around our neighborhood or at the park, but it's so hot outside. When we get home, she just lays on the cool tile and pants for the next hour. She's so cute with her tongue sticking out like that. She's sitting right next to my bed waiting for me. I think she knows we're going for a walk since she has her leash in her mouth! I think maybe I'll take her around the block a couple times.

Day 15

May 30, 2008

Dear Diary, I am so excited that the next week of school is our last before summer vacation! And actually it's not even a whole week, just two days. My teacher says we'll be doing fun classwork, whatever that means. Once school's out, Morgann and I can have fun swimming and dancing and all kinds of things. I love to go swimming at the recreation center because they have really cool water slides and diving boards.

Day 14

May 28, 2008

Dear Diary, I am so beat. I didn't get home from the dance studio last night until 8:30. Then I still had to take my shower and get my stuff ready for school. I study tap, jazz, and ballet. That means I'm at the studio a lot. And this year I made the dance team. It's a lot of fun, but there are a lot of competitions coming up that I have to get ready for.

Day 13

May 26, 2008

Dear Diary,Yesterday I went to the beach with a bunch of my friends and we had such a great time. The most hilarious thing happend. My friend, Rachel had a bag of cheetos and one cheeto fell on the sand next to her foot. Well, a huge flock of seagulls attacked her for the cheeto. She was screaming and freaking out and running all over the place. I don't blame her; those seagulls are vicious and dangerous. Everybody here knows not to feed them, but sometimes things happen like the cheeto thing. Usually, it's the tourists who don't know about them and try to feed one little bird. And, then, WHAM before you know it, you are in a swarm of gross birds!

Day 12

May 23, 2008

Dear Diary, I love my brothers, but sometimes it's hard being the only girl. Like when I want to talk on the phone to my friends, and they make pig noises in the background. Or they forget to put the seat down in the bathroom, yuck! I'm so glad I'm a girl. And thank goodness my mom is too!

Day 11

May 20, 2008

Dear Diary, If I hear my mom tell me to clean up my room one more time, I am going to scream! She has ben nagging me for like 3 days nonstop. I like my room exactly as it is. Everything has a place and everything is in its place (on the floor!!).

Day 10

May 14, 2008

Dear Diary, Usually on Wednesdays I don't ever have any free time, but today I don't have any homework which is a miracle! I am going to play with my friend today. Maybe we can ride bikes or something. It is getting really hot now, but I guess it's okay.

Day 9

May 11, 2008

Dear Diary, Today is Mother's Day. My brothers and I are going to make mom breakfast in bed. I think we are going to go to the beach. My mom loves the beach, but doesn't get many chances to go, because she is so busy. I am going to try and keep my little brother happy so she doesn't have too much stress.

Day 8

May 8, 2008

Dear Diary, I am still stressing about school, but I am starting to get things under control. My mom always tries to help me organize my schedul so I can squeeze everything in. I hate staying up too late doing homework; it just makes me grumpy in the morning!

Day 7

May 4, 2008

Dear Diary, I have been so busy lately that I just haven't had any time for my diary! The teachers are really piling on the homework now. It's like they don't want us to start thinking about summer yet. I had so many projects to do! And, we are getting ready for recital soon, so my dance schedule has become a little more intense too.

Day 6

April 10, 2008

Dear Diary, my dad took us to see the movie Horton Hears a Who. I guess we mainly went because of my 4 year old brother, but I really liked that movie!! It was so funny. After the movie, we got to go for ice cream. I just love vanilla ice cream with sprinkles! My brother, Ethan, likes chocolate stuff, and my other brother, Evan, likes chocolate and vanilla mixed together. Isn’t that funny?!

Day 5

April 7, 2008

Dear Diary, the rain has stopped and we are finally allowed to go outside. I played with my best friend, Nicole, who lives down the street. She has a dog named Mistyy and we took the dogs for a walk. My dog, Coco, is still just a puppy so she doesn’t walk that well on her leash yet, but she tries. It is so funny to watch her because if she sees the leash, she chomps on it…silly pup!

Day 4

March 25, 2008

Dear Diary, You won’t believe this, but it is raining again!!! Boring! My mom pulled out a new puzzle for us to work on, and she even had some brand new play-doh for my little brother. He was so happy to get a fresh batch of play-doh because he always mixes the colors together and then all his play-doh is just brown.

Day 3

March 22, 2008

Dear Diary, The rain won’t quit. The streets are flooded, nobody is outside, it is really gloomy. And worse yet, my mom is making me play with my little brother. I guess I will help him make a new train track design. After that, I am going to practice my dances and do some stretching.

Day 2

March 21, 2008

Dear Diary:

Guess what? Today was sunny! I got to play outside! Hooray! I went rollerskating down a big hill in my neighborhood. It was so much FUN! It was a little scary, but after I did it a couple times, it wasn’t scary anymore.

Day 1

March 18, 2008

Dear Diary, Today was a very boring day because it was raining all day and I never even got to go outside to play. And, my two little brothers were annoying me to death!
