Birthday Trouble

Yesterday was my birthday, and my friends and family came over for a little party. I got some really neat gifts, but my auntie bought me a really babyish outfit. I am 10 years old and it is something a 5 year old would wear. It has little kittens and balloons all over it. I could never wear it in a million years! I said thank you at my party, but how do I let someone know that I am too old for some things without hurting their feelings? After all, I don’t want them to waste money on gifts that won’t be used either.
just do what i do i get the receipt from my mom and go buy 1 present to replace it

I would tell your aunt that it didnt fit and could you please have the receipt and return and next year you could have your mom or you tell her what you want!!

I would just ask my mom if she could give my aunt a wishlist. on the wishlist, you could put something like a giftcard to one of your favorite stores. That way she'll be sure to not buy you something you won't like. Another thing is, even if she does buy you something babyish, say thank you. She still took the time to get this gift for you.

If I were you I would ask her if she had the reciept in case it didn't fit. If it did fit you could always make it your own ya know alter it untill you like it or tell her all the stores you LOVE!

I would just let it go and don't let it bother you. For your next B-Day give her a wish list so that way she knows what to give you.

I know how you feel. My mom and other people do that to me too. Some times I do not know what to say ether. Last night I got the trading cards. I like the people in chatterchix.I am glad to be part of chatterchex. Bye

If I were you i would tell aunt that i apreciate the thought but that i really didn't like the outfit. She would understand!

well, your aunt probly means alot to you, so even if that oufit is babyish, it came from someone that you love. to make them happy, i would either wear it when shes at your house to make her happy, or wear it at her house. that way, none of your friends would see you and you will still make your auntie happy
